The commitment of DCWN to women’s health goes beyond the management of digestive diseases. In an effort to achieve the goals set forth in our mission statement, we incorporate a multidisciplinary approach to education, research, mentorship, and consultation.
Our Executive Committee is responsible for oversight all of activities and drives the network to achieve our goals. When the need arises, the Executive Committee establishes Subspecialty Working Groups in a particular area. It is the mandate of these Working Groups to provide expertise, solicit input from relevant parties, and when necessary, affect changes in clinical practice and develop clinical guidelines. Additional efforts from DCWN focus on the community setting to encourage physicians to participate in educational programs, adopt new clinical guidelines, and disseminate information to peers and patients.
